Children’s Health Initiative

The Sequoia Healthcare District is committed to the goal that all area children have access to health care. For many who live in working poor families whose income is too high to qualify for Medi-Cal but too low to afford private health insurance, the answer is often enrollment in Healthy Kids.

Families pay a portion of the annual premium and the district pays the balance. Currently, the district subsidizes 1,350 children at an annual cost of $1,350,000.
