Tracey's Place of Hope

Tracey’s Place of Hope is a residential program for adolescent girls in crisis with mental health and substance abuse problems.

by Women’s Recovery Association

What it is: Most clients of the program have been victims of physical or sexual abuse, neglect or the effects of family substance abuse and are typically very low income. Low-income individuals are prone to eating low-cost, high-energy foods containing lots of added vegetable fats and sugar, a diet that contributes to a number of physical and emotional problems. This program’s goal is to improve the diet of 85 percent of Tracey’s Place of Hope residents, train all service staff in healthy, well-balanced food preparation and to get nearly 100 percent client participation in gym activities, community activities and school.
