School-based alcohol and drug prevention, education and counseling for at-risk children in Redwood City and North Fair Oaks to help children break out of the cycle of addiction.

What it is: The Children’s Place offers on-site group and individual counseling to kindergarten through eight-graders at 10 school sites in Redwood City. The curriculum uses visual and expressive art therapies, role-playing and creative writing as tools for assessment and healing, methods that are ideal for children who have difficulty verbalizing what is happening in their lives.
