Develop a futbol academy through the Sheriff’s Activities League that targets youth in the North Fair Oaks neighborhood and engages them to stay healthy, active and organized in play after school and on weekends.

What it is: In addition to health risks, youth in the North Fair Oaks area are exposed to a high level of pressure for gang involvement. Potential sports club involvement gives them a positive alternative to these and other activities. SAL soccer is a 10 year-old program that last year drew 750 participants in 36 teams.
